Like many of her countrymen, HM Queen Sonja of Norway is a passionate mountain hiker. One of her favorite hikes is in the Hardangerfjord region and it is actually named after her. Dronningstien is Norwegian for H.M. Queen Sonja’s Panoramic Hiking Trail. I brought my Sony RX100 Mark III and got this capture near the top of the trail. 

The hike goes above 1100 meters and offers magnificent views of the fjords and mountains of the Hardangerfjord region. You can read more about the trip here. Warmly recommended!

    I fell in love with Norway from hiking alone in the mtns, safely. I didn’t quite conquer the peaks I wanted to, but I would live and work there, hands down. It’s such a beautiful country Stein!
